"Zone Troopers" - How was this movie skipped by Oscar?

I saw this masterpiece last night. It is from 1986. It has to be one of the worst (if not the worst) movie ever made.

It is one of those, it was so bad, it turned into a comedy.

Anyone ever seen it?

I saw this movie, but it must be over 20 years since I last watched it.
Gotta love cheap 80s sci-fi.
