I could not believe my eyes when I saw that thread header, that's awful news and very saddening. They kept the fact that she had cancer very quiet, which was nice in that she could deal with it privately. She will always be remembered, alongside Jon Pertwee/Tom Baker, for making my Saturday evenings in the mid 70s very magical.Comment

Heard about this before leaving work today. This is such a shame - Sarah Jane was the first Dr. Who companion I was exposed to (I started watching the Doctor right from Tom Baker's first episode), and always was a favorite. To see her in K-9 and Company, the Tenth Doctor's run, plus the spin-off Sarah Jane Adventures, pretty much cemented her as the #1 companion for me. She was such a great actress and a real lady.
RIP, Ms. Sladen - you're the best!"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment
