    Game of Thrones

So who else saw the premiere on HBO?

I've been a huge fan of the books for years... and the premiere tonight was about exactly what I imagined when reading it. All the characters, the settings, the little touches... so great. I geeked out for the entire hour.

But I'm curious what other folks thought, especially those who didn't read the book. Great show... or greatest show?

I really enjoyed the show. I had the wife order HBO an hour before the show started. The scenery is excellent, the charachters are pretty dead on, and they are staying pretty true to the books. I'm ecstatic...this is my Lord of the Rings!!!!!!

Ditto with me. I'll just have to wait for it to come out on DVD or Netflix as I cancelled HBO, Showtime, and Starz. I was finding myself only watching the original series and figured the extra $$ wasn't worth my time. The other issue with series like Sparticus which I loved the first season is that I can really only watch them on my DVR on demand and not appropriate for my kids to watch. Unless I feel like staying up until 2 am to watch it (which I'm not); better to just pick it up and watch it in the mancave.

I would look forward to this. I am still waiting for him to finish the next book. It has been so long I had almost forgotten about it.

I'm hooked. Didn't read the books, and knew nothing going in. Looks pretty good.
