The transfer is excellent. Not up there with Alien, Flash Gordon, The Warriors, etc. But certainly the best it has ever appeared on disc.

Despite it's faults, it's an awesome film, one of my favorites.

Yeah, it's a pretty good transfer and a real step up from the DVD, especially considering the DVD was one of the DVD's released when the format was new.

keep in mind it had two dvd releases, one early on and one a bit later with a supposed new transfer (warner Bros I believe)

Your right about that. It was re-released.

But anyway, on the blu-ray I noticed for the first time that Jessica's gown that she wears when we first see her is really..... sheer.
