I was thinking about it for the last month or so ....
Then while shopping, like I do on Friday nights after work, ... There it was. Sorta a Weird thing.

It was on the 5 dollar Rack, not in the Digging Bins.

For how much we all hate CGI today, this movie is the grandaddy of them all.

          I just don't like it

My dad got the DVD/Blu-Ray pack last summer and he gave me the Blu-ray one. We then got into a discussion as to whether or not the movie was really "Blu-ray" worthy (SPOILER ALERT: it ain't!)

                      As for the CGI arguement...

I've done a fair bit of CG stuff and I have a deep appreciation for those who do it professionally, so I'm with BlackKnight on admiring a well done piece of computer animation.

Loved that movie when I was younger. For you techies, I think it was the first movie with CGI that used Gouraud shading.

I love this film. It pulls at your heart strings. They said they tried hard not to copy Star Wars and the end result really adds up. They made something a little different. The music score is also fantastic. There's very little that can compare to that Starfighter theme.

                              Hmmmm....

I didn't care for this one when I was a kid, but I can see why folks would like it. It's pretty lighthearted, has some weird aliens, spaceships.... I was more an "Alien" kind of kid though.
