    Star Schtick

Ok this is a pretty corny Canadian 70s Star Trek spoof but there is two fun things to look for in this clip

    1) the mego item
    2) The actor who played the Earth President did a voice on a cartoon known to most Mego heads, first one to figure it out gets a shiney nickel.

Are you sure? He doesn't sound anything like Paul Kligman.

He sounds exactly like Paul Kligman because that is him. Grew up on this, if you listen you can hear a little JJJ when he's talking.

The actor playing "Bones" was Electro (Tom Harvey) and the narrator of the piece did all of the Marvel Superheroes cartoons (Bernard Cowan)

Yep. If you close your eyes you can hear J Jonah Jameson OR Donner (Rudolph's dad) . Kligman just didn't put as much vocal emphasis on that particular character like he would for a cartoon or animated feature, where he needs to be more over-the-top to portray the character.

I tried closing my eyes before you said that, and I still can't hear it. Oh well.

I remember watching Wayne and Shuster as a kid and laughing my guts out at their parody shows. Not sure if my memories will hold up to watching this episode again as an adult.

I think there was a pop bottle gag in this episode that was the funniest thing ever when I was little.

Hardygirl, try at about 6:58, its pretty obvious right in there.

That's cute. Funny when they showed the guy with the coal shovel in the boiler room, I immediately thought of the 2009 movie engine room.
                      It's all good!
