Thats odd, I always considered them to be all machanical except for a small brain reproduction bit from Davros. Hmm, do they poo?

This representation does seem more realistic than some ... Considering the Dalek case needs to be big enough inside to fit a Human (see The Space Museum and Dr Who and the Daleks)

Since they already showed the insides in the episode Dalek, 2005, that pretty much supercedes the illustration.
