Anyone ever see Space Patrol ?

Of course i'm too young to remember it on first run, but I did have a video of a few episodes I bought in the 80's ... Which is long gone now.

It was mostly fun watching the cast (Buzz Corry and Cadet Happy) do adds in character

Anybody else ever see Space Patrol ?

    There are several versions......

the 50's cheesy sci fi version

John K from Ren and Stimpy fame paid Homage to it on their cartoon called Space Madness

and then there's the English series which is what you might be talking about

also there's the German Space Patrol-Raumpatrouille Orion

Love it! They used to play the episodes on Night Flight and I have all of them on vhs. Loved the beginning credits with the model city and ship blasting off.

            It's very possible

One thing that stood out was mine had a "magic totem head" commercial

You can download episodes from both the TV series and the radio show for free on iTunes.

I haven't seen the TV series, but I have listened to several episodes of the Radio show. (Oddly enough, the success of the TV series led to the Radio series....you'd think it'd be the other way around, but I guess in the early 50s there was enough overlap of the mediums to see that sort of thing.)

I actually wrote a three-issue SPACE PATROL mini-series for the now defunct Malibu Comics back in the nineties. It was a lot of fun sort of bringing the characters into the "now" while retaining their air of innocence at the same time...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
