I wonder if the 8th Doctor getting a costume update and this finally being released herald a guest appearance on the new show when it comes back in March? The Two Doctors revisited?

I doubt it, the TV movie has been issued twice in the UK prior to this it's only in the state it wasn't allowed till now. That said Paul is best ready to make a multi doctor apearance of "classic" doctors since his regeneration was never shown

and the "new costume" as it is it Paul Mcgann's push to get away from the velvet frock and wig, it's not been acknowlesged by BBC or big finish as offical

It will be interesting to revisit this with the context of the latest series!

It's pretty neat how later writers tried to keep this in continuity with the explanations for the half human comment.

What new costume? I only saw the original airing and he had a Wyatt Earp Halloween outfit?

YES, he should be on the new show since the 8th feels to me left out .

                Still like this.
Love the TARDIS interior, and McGann's Doctor had such potential.

that is technically the official costume (and is the one used for comic, audio and novel covers)

this is the "new costume" johnny was talking about

I know nothing about Dr. Who and really don't get the show at all...is this the Movie that was on Fox a few years back? I don't know how this happened...I must have taped this for someone...just last night I was going through some old VHS tapes and came across a Dr. Who Movie that aired on Fox a few years back.

And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
                      The beauty that surrounds them
                      Isn't it a pity".

Yea, it's the Fox TV movie .....

To a novice, the Fox Movie was a revamp effort to bring the series to American televison.

Instead of a reboot it was a continuation of the BBC series.

It failed to sell but it's legit and cannon in the Dr Who universe.
