Well, if it's a dream it could be anything ?

Mine would be the first Star Trek movie being released in 1970 starring the original crew.

SFX done by the 2001 team

I always thought they missed the boat on "Generations" by not making the full compliment of both TOS and TNG crews stars...and by making the movie take a real toll and MEAN something. To wit: All TOS movies were about aging, beating death, beating the odds, etc. So use the same "time loop" plot with Malcolm McDowell, have a massive tragedy occur (kill off Sulu, Chekov and Uhura - in the process, as they hadn't been seen in TNG yet.) Make Scotty and Uhura lovers, as was hinted at, so the loss is even deeper. Have Sulu die commanding Excelsior in the tragedy. Then Kirk and Spock save the day by using time travel and saving millions in the first 30 minutes...and then have their actions cause some massive problem in Picard's 23rd Century because of Kirk's actions. Then, to save his future, Picard must convince Kirk that he has to let people die - including his crew. Kirk refuses to accept that, Spock sees it as logical, Spock takes Picard's side while Kirk and McCoy strive to save people...all kinds of heroics and conflict on both crews...and in the end Kirk and Picard fight Soran. Kirk sacrifices himself - maybe wounded by McDowell, whom he kills, and dying alone, as he predicted, on a starship bridge after he's beamed Picard out.History is altered, but not to negative effect. Ultimately, only Kirk had to die. Sulu, Uhura and Chekov live, as does all others affected by the tragedy. Only Kirk dies. You could have Kirk talking to Picard, Spock and McCoy on a viewscreen as he goes out...a few choice last words, maybe Picard referencing "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" to hearken back to Wrath of Khan. Kirk says "Take care of my Enterprise. She's yours now." Kirk and Spock say goodbye as friends, echoing the end of that film. Maybe Kirk's last words to Spock are something like "I think we've done enough to the future, and enough for history. Live long and prosper, my friend." Explosion. Funeral. Movie ends with a montage...Scotty and Uhura together, McCoy in Starfleet med lab, Spock as ambassador, meditating, Sulu at helm of Excelsior, and then we cut to Picard's crew, the mantle now passed from old crew to new. Picard says the famous outro "Space...the final frontier" speech and then adds, "As a great man once said 'Second star to the right, and straight on til morning."
Data goes "That course is illogical, captain." Picard smiles. "A Joke, Mr. Data." Data laughs. Ship goes to warp. The next seven movies are theirs, and the torch is passed gracefully.

The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama

My thought's exactly or at worst one done in 1977 with the writing and pacing of the classic show (which is what makes TWOK work so well)
as opposed to the cerebral trip of TMP

I saw an older George Takei in a fan film semi recentlly but I want hime to get his own role as the star.
            You know, before he croaks.

Not that CGI will let anyone stay in thier coffins . . . . .

I had an idea for Takei, he goes the the Guardian of Forever & becomes a Ninja on a Kligon planet, has a few skirmishes with em & they give chase, he displays superior Martial skill, finally cornered & is about to be killed when a Klingon leader intervenes as he is impressed with his warrior skills, spares him & invites him to teach.
