    Neo Returns!!

I'm so HAPPY! Keanu Recently gave a key note speech at the London school of performing Arts university, and was the guest of honor...where he Says he met the Wachowski's , for lunch over Christmas and stated that they had completed work on a two picture script treatment that would see him return to the world of the matrix as Neo. Says the brothers have met with Jim Cameron to discuss the pro's and con's of 3D and are looking to deliver something which has never been seen again. keanu stated that he still has an obligation to the fans to deliver a movie worthy of the title "The Matrix" and he swears this time that the treatment will truly revolutionise the action genre like the first movie.

I'm glad the're going to make two more Matrix Movies. My expectations were high...and I was rather let down by the 3rd Movie(something Keanu alludes to in his interview) . I mean, they blinded Neo, killed Trinity, and then (apparently)killed Neo. This is a chance for them to make it up to me...because I LOVED the first two Matrix Movies!

I hope they find a way to bring her back. Maybe the Machines took her and used Nanites to repair her Body? Just an idea.

I love the first matrix movie and I never saw another one. I can't say I regret that decision and I plan to continue down that path.

Given how revolutionary the original Matrix was, hype machine aside, I'd really rather they left it alone unless there really is something new they can bring to it. Given how Cameron has pushed the envelope with 3-D and Avatar, that is a pretty high benchmark.

Although I guess the same kind of immersive 3-D metaphor of entering that other world in Avatar would translate between The Matrix/Real World scenarios of The Matrix films if done properly.

Sorry to rain on parades. . .

              UPDATE on Matrix 3 & 4 and Bill & Ted 3

While Harry has gotten some pretty juicy news in the past he has also reported alot of bunk. This is certainly the latter.

matrix 2 and 3 were such terrible movies i would not even give a sequal a chance. they even damaged the first movie. they should be locked in a vault with the prequels that are not to be named.

Thanks for sharing...that's why I make posts about things I like...so I can found out how many People didn't like it.

Personally, I loved the "Matrix Reloaded"...it left open so many possibilities. That's why the 3rd one was such a bummer. But I'd still like to see more Matrix Movies...because Neo KICKS ARSE!

I remember after The Matrix became a hit, I read that the Wachowski's had 3 sequels planned for The Matrix; 3 Sequels-not two. After The Matrix:Reloaded and The Matrix:Revolutions i kept wondering when the next film would be announced. The ending leaves it all open for another story. After seeing Reloaded I was a little concerned but definately ready to see Revolutions. I could have watched the 2 films back-to-back, flaws and all.

A lot of people were dissappointed with the sequels but lets break it down into specifics. Why is Agent Smith back? He makes a great villain sure but we saw him destroyed in the first film? Did the keymaster provide keys for all of the "Ones" before Neo to get to the Architect? How could he if Merv had been imprisoning him? If the "One" before Neo met the Architect what happened to him? It's likely he didn't have a love interest like Trinity so he didn't have the same choice of 2 doors to walk thru. If he knocked the Matrix down where is he now? What happened to all the ones before Neo? I thought there was only 1 predecessor to Neo? Where's the explanations for all these story points?

Why are there so many contradictions in Reloaded? We're told by the Architect that Zion has fallen 5x's before? Why doesn't Morpheus, or The Oracle or Merv know this; especially since Merv claims to have met Neo's predecessor? Wouldn't Merv have met many, if not all, of Neo's predecessors? Better yet why don't the people of Zion know this and why do they keep going back to the same place to be defeated? Did the machines kill all of the inhabitants each time? That seems unlikely if the previous "Ones" chose to knock down the Matrix. There should have been survivors going back 5 generations that would have learned from the previous attempts to defeat the machines. They have no new plan to beat the machines? It seems to me it's all sloppy writing. The Bros. W were so excited to make the freeway fight the centerpiece of their film they forgot the simple rules of continuity.

I loved the first Matrix, though I think there are quite a few slow/boring spots. I also enjoyed the second and third mostly for the visuals, but they got bogged down in way too much half-baked pop philosophy that I had no interest in. I don't know what else they could do to set the story straight, so new sequels just sound like a bad idea to me.

It's nice that the filmmakers want to play with new technology, but how about a new story rather than reviving a franchise they pretty much ran into the ground?

Well, it wouldn't be the first franchise WB ran into the Ground. Need I remind you about the first 4 Batman Movies? And yet Chris Nolan wiped the slate clean...and gave us two KILLER Batman Movies.
