well...... I will still support it because it's apes. As much as I hated Burton's p.o.s. I still went because it's apes. I fell asleep and ended up leaving halfway through the movie but I still went.
What bothers me is the "If it is not broken, don't fix it!" Theory.The ape appliances of the 60's was way ahead of it's time. I do not see any reason why they couldn't continue using that format now.
It will be interesting to see where this goes! -
Once again they miss the point.
Those costumes and makeups ARE the attraction. And when people think about POTA, they think about that look and those story lines. CGI apes? Give me a break. Seeing an ape talk is not exactly a new idea. Heck we've got them sitting in convertibles on TV talking! But being able to see the classic apes again WOULD BE a fresh idea...especially in the Retro age. But I'm sure they won't look anything like them. The studios just don't get it.

One of the reasons I love King Kong (the original) and none of the new versions is because I like Kong looking NOT like a Gorilla.
I want my Kong looking and moving like a weird monster (original)

I don't know, I am looking forward to it. I will withhold judgement on using CGI until I see the final product. I did not think Burton's version was that bad. not as good as the classics but good in it's own rightComment

All this CGI stuff doesn't impress me.
