    That's a really nice cover.

I'm glad they made it match the Classic Series covers in the way it's layed out.

I'm also glad they didn't decide to title it The Enemy Within

Wonder what the disc label is going to look like ? --- considering all Classic Doctors have their own personal labels on region-1 releases.

I hope they go all out restoring Autons and Daemons - like they did with Axos.

based on the releases for Axos, Time monster and Planet of the Daleks I can say we are in for a treat when each remaining Pertwee is released. the colors are so much more vibrant andthe clarity is awesome. I don't need "improved" effects shots, I want to see a recolored Mind of evil and ambassadors of death

Me too ... I'm not big on colorization of B&W films, but in these cases i'd be happy to see it.

To be honest, i'd love to see some Hartnell's and Troughton's colorized too

I only want to see these recolored because originally they were color. I don't want to see hartnell or Troughton in color (I suspect the skin tones will look awful) the console was light green in the monochome years as it looked better as a "white" in shades of gray (see the console in INFERNO)

Unfortunately with Ambassadors and Mind it would be too expensive to recolour throughout as there are too many episodes in B & W to make it financially viable, the last time I checked the restoration team were saying that it costs up to £2000 per minute to colourise. We may get 'Invasion of the Dinosaurs' in full colour as it is only ep 1 that is in B & W. Hopefully a cheaper (without losing effectiveness) solution can be found so we can enjoy them in full colour again.

I know it unlikely but I can wish for it anyway
The good thing on that front is the restoration team quote goes back almost 20 years to the vhs release of Terror of the autons in 93 (long before the reverse NTSC colorization tech used for Axos). I never thought I'd see part 3 of planet of the daleks in color but we eventually got it.
the small part of me that's an optimist hopes that these revistation sets are going to be a "low cost, high profit" option BBC will use to offset the costs of tougher restorations like dinosaurs, Mind, and ambassadors but the big part of me that is a cynic says it's jsut a money grab from hard core fans who will gladly fork over the money to buy them again on DVD (after more than likely buying them on first release dvd and vhs before that) for a chance to hear the actors in the commentary instead of directors and producers and they'll just pocket the money.

as a Yank I am happy to finally get an official release for the 96 TV movie but I haven't bothered to buy any of the upgraded dvd releases since I bought them the first time around. to me it's too remineiscent of what Lucas does to star wars fans and harmony gold did to robotech fans

I also wish .... but seeing as the last episode recovered was in 2004, (although even by then most people had given up hope for more finds) and although probable the chances of any more episodes being found is increasingly unlikely, the cheaper method of merging U.S. colour copies of episodes with B&W U.K. copies as per Silurians looks unlikely to happen. I do wish that 2/Entertain (previously BBC worldwide/Enterprises) would reward fans more for their support with things like 'Invasion' with animated lost episodes...apparently a mini recon like the 'Marco Polo' one in the 'Begining' box set has been made but will proberly never be used as an extra on dvds. It annoys me to think that the sale of Doctor Who around the world in vhs and dvd as well as sales to tv componies kept the merchandising arm of the BBC going for years and yet as fans we get precious little thanks or rewards for it.
I hate the prospect of rebuying material I already have and try to catch rereleases when in sales or second hand rather than feed the flame these days but still am too much of a fanboy to let them past lol

I know it's not the same companies but the entire first season of I Dream of Jeanie was colorized for the DVD release - and while not perfect, it's watchable... and no way would they pay $4000 per minute.

That makes me think maybe the restoration's team's standards are way too high and are willing to pay millions of dollars for a perfect product or not have it done.

Sometimes I think the restoration team is Dr Who's worst enemy.
