Bionic BIGFOOT?

I'm REALLY digging these episodes.

I have seen "The Return of Bigfoot" parts one and two, the ones where they wrap-up the whole deal, but I'm just NOW watching the first.
(Secret of Bigfoot parts 1&2....I'm 1/3 into the first right now and I like the atmosphere a WHOLE lot better - and Andre's Sasquatch is FAR better than the way he was played in the sequels..)

I have been reading about the characters and so forth on 'IMDB' - very neat stuff - the whole 'Cyborg' thing and all, and even Dusty Springfield!

What are some of the BEST episodes of this series? Tell me that Bigfoot appears again at some point??
I'm getting a Steve doll and two Jamie dolls in the mail, now I HAVE to get a BIGFOOT - and maybe even Oscar!

What's the deal with who played Bigfoot? I have heard many people say it was Andre The Giant that played him while I thought it was Ted Cassidy. I wonder if Andre did some of the Bigfoot stunts while it was Ted that did the closeups.

Mike, Andre was Bigfoot in The Secret of Bigfoot.

Ted Cassidy was Bigfoot in Return of Bigfoot and Bigfoot V

I heard Andre could not return for the sequels because Vince McMann Sr wouldn't let him.

Vince Sr was quite nasty i'm told ... Vince Jr (our Vince) is a puppy dog compared to him.

This one kicks azz - I loved the fight scene when Steve first meets the Bigfoot.
As an adult, I can appreciate it for what it is and I think that its cool although cheesy at times, but watching it through my 'kid's eyes', it's pure fried gold!

The reverb/strike sound effects are played very well here - Now I know WHY my buddies would make those "ba-ba-ba-ba-bum-bum-bum-BUMMM" sounds whenever we would 'battle' as kids!


I need to figure out which 'generic white male' head would be good for an 8" body...I need to get one of those orange track suits from Theressa as well...

In the film 'The Wrestler', the writers as well as some former wrestlers were taking a direct JAB at McMahon - depicting aging, disabled former wrestlers now signing autographs at the local civic center for $5 each, due in large part to the corruption and the greed of the McMahon Clan.
Sad stuff - you should read what Andre and Terry Hogan have to say about the matter - they chewed up guys and spit them out like a well-oiled machine back then - and still do now!

I'm pretty sure there are some Steve Austin heads out there if you're into painting heads, etc...

You could go "generic" with him, if you want a more authentic look, they're around...

If they had torn off the real one, there would have been blood spatter everywhere, and Steve, our hero, would have been dead of blood loss and shock.

I love the extended section where it's mostly music and the Bionic eye sound effect as he's searching the forest. I wish they would release a SMDM soundtrack to now that the set is out.

I agree. For all of it's inert 'cheesiness', it still has VERY cool and original elements, I'm enjoying the hell out of the show - about to watch the pilot movie apparently taken from the book 'Cyborg'.
