I'm really taking my time. I'm not starting in order either. I'm watching season three right now and even re-watched a few of those episodes in the process. I get a kick out of watching Larry Csonka running down the street with Steve Austin just pacing himself. They really pulled that off nicely. It's crystal clear Lee Majors was still a capable athlete himself. In one of the specials he says they would sometimes get together a game of football between set ups.

Well, I opened mine on Sunday night and haven't looked back, the toy documentary was a lot of fun and this may be the first time I've seen the pilot movie in 30 odd years.

It's going to be really hard not to charge right through to the sci fi episodes especially Deathprobe, I've never seen it with sound!

When it first aired my best friend and I wanted to watch it but both our parents booted us out (Summer rules meant no TV) so I actually watched it peering in my neighbours basement window.

I'm saving Deathprobe for Christmas day, after I assemble all the kids stuff and the sun moves to the spot where it's "Drinkin' time".

What a neat story Brian. I hope it's everything you remember it to be. That's the one thing about this show that has been a pleasant surprise. Very little of it feels dated to me. Even the slow motion in bell bottoms seems normal to me again. With all the fashion changes currently in play, some of that stuff is back anyway...except for the wide collars. The only thing I wish they would have done differently with the toy special is actually show the entire Kenner line. I was a little disappointed with the nerd factor of the people that hosted that piece. If I was a person who knew nothing of the show and saw that segment, I would think fans of the show were idiots. Not the way I see any of us in this venture.

Yeah, the sound FX documentary wasn't as insightful as I hoped either. I really wanted to know the origins of those sounds, not nerdy dudes going "da-nah-nah" for ten minutes.

I get that the producers were looking for it to have a certain bit of quirkiness and I can dig it but I prefer the tone of the Superfriends documentaries.

One thing about Six Million Dollar Man, the series never jumped the shark and got lousy.

From season-1 all the way to the end of season-5 it's very consistent.

Wait till you get to the episode where Steve has to bring a scientist and his son back to the US (he defected to Russia and now wants to defect back). Check out the outfit his son is wearing at the end of the episode in Oscar's office. Yowsa! My eyeballs are still in pain from that searing. Even Kramer wouldn't be caught in those duds!

Also, check out the episode with Steve going to hick country to stop the moonshine running town boss. There is a scene in a hotel room with a "Big Wig" from Washington. Check out how well the robe he is wearing goes with the wallpaper.

I am assuming you had these two scenes in mind when you state "very little" feels dated.

Well, in my defense, I haven't made it through the whole box set yet. That's funny.

Boy, the opening theme tune for the subsequent TV movies is just so ill advised.

Really enjoying it thus far, the wife, not so much. Not helped by the fact that whenever she is watching something I say "Is there something else on, something with men? Bionic Men?"

I really don't mind the Dusty Springfield openings

They give the show a Bond feel --- which is what they were ment to do.

Wow! That was fast! So... Were you sad when you got to the final episode? Mine is taking a while because I'm watching the Fall Guy too! One thing is for certain - Lee Majors is major talent Hollywood should have kept using. It seems unimaginable they would do nothing with him after such proven hits as the SMDM and Fall Guy. It's really a head-scratcher. There HAS to be a reason.

i dont understand why they issued the fall guy dvd season 1 with two volumes instead of just making it one whole set.
