    Six Million Dollar Man -

Just now watching my first of these shows. I am really digging them!

I just have a few observations:

I really like how they depicted the 'action/superhuman' scenes in slow-frame. It adds impact - as someone that has been in car accidents and has had his share of 'unfortunate happenings', I can tell you that this slowing of time does seem to be the case...
I really like the intro - VERY spot-on, I have vague memories of being 'scared' of it as a child!
The supporting actors are GREAT thus far - C'mon - Friggin John Saxon as a benevolent alien thats controlling a Bionic Sasquatch?!? It doesnt GET any more '70s awesome' than that!!
I wonder why, considering they were the 'TV Super Couple' of the 70s, Farrah wasnt opted to play Jamie? (Although I'm not complaining - Lindsay does a great job, and she's quite a tasty dish as well!! )

Anyhow, just wanted to hear what other folks might have to say about this classic show.

    Take care -

"out already" ? What are you meaning? The show aired from 1974-1980.....Are you asking if I'm watching some sort of re-make, or? I'm confused -??

          Ohhhh....I get you now.

No, these arent part of a DVD set, we have had these for years, I just have never bothered to watch.

You mentioned 'Time Life' - you mean that this series HASNT been released on DVD yet?? Wow...hard to believe, I thought that everything was on DVD!

If I continue to enjoy what I'm seeing, I'll be buying the set for sure when its released. (I'll Google it now)

You have never seen this before? Wow. You don't know what you missed. This was the best show of the 70's.

I am enjoying it very much, yes.

I have rough memories of it as a kid - my buddy Jim had Steve, he had this car engine that he could barely lift and his arm had a rubbery 'flesh'.
As far as the show, I had seen several minutes here and there, but nothing that I can really recollect... (Senility? lol)
I remember my brothers and sisters and their friends watching it intently, but I think that the 'human drama' scenes put me off at that age - I'd rather watch Sigmund or Johnny Quest!!

With some 'science fiction' oriented shows I cannot for the life of me understand how ANYone would be interested, but I can with this show. It has its 'absurd' aspects, but I think that overall it's very well done and really friggin cool.

I was a BIG fan had alot of the toys as a kid, but I missed most of the TV episodes because we were stationed overseas at the time. I did have a copy of one of the story-records that I wore out...

Don't know for sure but a couple reasons could be that Farrah had already guest-starred (oddly as three DIFFERENT characters) in episodes of the SMDM.
The Jaime Sommers character died at the end of the Bionic Woman storyline.
But I think the main reason is because she had probably already been signed to do Charlie's Angels.
Then again, maybe she was offered it and turned it down or maybe Lee Majors or Aaron Spelling didn't want her to do it for some reason?

Back in the 70's Farrah was one of the worst actresses ever.

I think she went to the OJ Simpson school of acting

If she played Jaime it would have been a forgettable SMDM story that never would have taken off beyond the first story where she died.

I hate to speak ill of the dead, but yeah, she was not exactly Olivier...

Her "performance" in Logan's Run being a good example - yikes!

Sleazy agent: "O.K....here's yer character motivation dollface - yer a ditzy nurse that also happens to be glazed over on pills and vodka.... GO!"

I have to give it up for 'The Burning Bed' and 'Extremities' though - both well-done films that Farrah was in...
