    Freaky Deeky Japanese hyper-gore epics

Thanks to Netflix streaming I am sampling some of this stuff like Tokyo Gore Police and Machine Girl. The gore is almost wall to wall and kind of takes on a slapstick tone. The blood sprays as if it comes from a garden hose. It's the same style that Tarentino was doing a homage to in Kill Bill but the real thing in even more over the top.

    HAW!

Yeah, "restraint" isn't really a watchword for the Japanese film industry....

Two days ago I went to the Razor Reel Fantastic Film Festival here in Bruges and watched Mutant Girl Squad. It's right up there with the 2 you mentioned, definitely check this one out too.

is this animated stuff or live action? I have been watching a few foreign films on Netflix and have noticed the foreign films are much less conservative then american movies.....not that I mind.

No these are live action but the gore is so extreme that you stop taking it seriously.

In the case of Tokyo Gore Police, it's about killers that are genetically engineered to grow weapons from the stumps of whatever is cut off from them.

Macine Girl was something new for me. Gore Comedy.

Like the kind sweet old Peter Jackson used to make

You can also add Robogeisha and Big T*ts Zombie (this one comes in 3D) to this list.

Got Tokyo Gore Police and Machine Girl on DVD ... don't know if I should be proud of that fact or not .

Check out the Takashi Miiki stuff. Pretty much pushes the edge with mixed results.
