I'm just amazed at the level of detail in Drucker's work here. This was kind of before my time, but it seems like the eighties stuff Drucker did for Mad was a bit looser and less complex.
I was a bigger Cracked fan as a kid because of Bill Ward and John Severin, but just going back and looking at Drucker's stuff at the height of his powers, he did have a pretty impressive body of work and a real flair for melding caricature into a more realistically rendered scene.
I love that issue! I always preferred Angelo Torres' art to Mort Drucker's and had hoped that a TV series satire would have been done. I know cracked did one but a MAD one to compliment issue 157 would have been nice.
