I dimly remembered this show but since I didn't know the show's name I was beginning to think it was a figment of my imagination. I remember it being shown of WTBS (when the channel was tolerable) around 1980 or 1981. I was a small child and I thought this show and spectreman were great. Here is a clip! Of course time and maturity has reduced the show a bit in my eyes but it's great in nostalgia circles. I think it was one of the earlier japanese scifi imports to the states.

Hmmmm....

I didn't get to see it 'til I was at the U. I really like it; it's so weird. Kinda like Sid and Marty Krofft's take on Ultraman.

and for those that search out a dvd set in English, take note ONLY fan made dvds exist for that. A Japanese box was made a few years back but no english. The better english version to get is the 16 disc set that seems to use the Japanese region 2 dvd picture, re-done with the English dub. In the short spots where no english dub was made (the US cut the episode) it switches back to Japanese.

Maybe one day we can get a real english/Jap release but until then enjoy the boots-
