ST First Contact / Forbidden Planet connection

Within the past weekish I watched both Star Trek First Contact and Forbidden Planet on TV.

I think I noticed a secret hidden wink-wink to Forbidden Planet in First Contact but I can't confirm it.

In First Contact Barclay holds spiral copper tubing (showing Cochran and LaForge) which seems to look just like the tubing Richard Anderson holds in Forbidden Planet ...

Can anyone confirm this ?

That comparison looks about right Mike.

I think that that plaster cast of the id monster's foot turns up in the museum in Planet of the Apes (when Heston is trying to escape) but have never really double checked
