    Fringe...Best Sci-Fi show on TV...

    ....Discuss

This year will be interesting in that I think each week the show will be in the different parallel universe. Kind of wish they would have explored Nimoy's character a little more...but being that he's retired and they killed him off because he retired from acting.

One thing....please don't compare this show to X-Files....it's nothing like X-Files.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them
    Isn't it a pity".

Been following it from the start.
I love this show so much. Also I just realised that Walter was the steward(Boromir and faramirs father) from the lord of the rings trilogy...LOL
I also really wish that there had been more nimoy in the series but what can you do?
My favorite from last year (season 2) would have been the back story with young Walter going to the other side. Not sure where the series is for our uk friends so I won't say anymore.

Haven't seen the season opener yet but I went from casual viewer to fan somewhere in season 2. The formula in season one got old but to the show's credit, it got better.

They paced out the arc just perfectly to keep my interest over the past two years, and now I'm glad that all of it is actually paying off in a satisfactory manner.

For those interested in Nimoy's character, there was a six issue comic series that was written by the series writers that reveals some of the backstory between him and Walter as college students.

I am a fan too. We need a spoilers thread so we can discuss the past episodes and not ruin it for those who didn't watch yet.

Great season opener, it's good to have it back on our screens, it's one of the best shows on at the moment. I'm hoping that Nimoy will change his mind and come back as Bell, I loved that character. From what I recall, I don't think we saw Bell die on screen, so it may be possible.

Heh, I said to my wife "This reminds of me of a Prisoner episode tonight" and pretty much five minutes later a guy on a penny farthing bike rode by, clever!

Honestly, I was pretty indifferent to this show until they kicked in the parallel world story. Now it's finally become worth watching. Before that, I watched it despite disliking the 'Fringe Science' crap, which was less science and more poor man's X-Files. Walter Bishop made it palatable.

But now I'm actually interested and wanting to know what happens next, something that I did not feel during the first year and a half of the show.

They got me hooked when I realized I was watching a mad scientist wrapped in bandages using a ray gun on a modern day television show.
