I'm just astounded that they are getting the Hot Toys treatment, but I understand that the film did well at the box office outside of North America (and I'm sure it has a certain degree of cult status these days as well).
I just love the Mars Attacks cards, and to have figures because of the movie is terrific. I recently picked up the Norm Saunders coffee table book that represents the art in a larger size format.
I'm really surprised that the Martian disguised as Lisa Marie isn't getting the Hot Toys treatment. That would seem the most obvious figure suited for this deluxe format.
The martians do seem well suited for the SuperDeformed Cosbaby format.
Those are nice lookin' toys. I think I have a ray gun that I picked up when the movie came out hidden away somewhere, it has a brain that pulsates when the trigger is pulled, as well as making ray gun sounds.
I just read that Wally Wood did many of the layouts for the original cards!
