I'll never forget asking a friend of mine, Joseph Lamberti in the 6th grade, why he wasn't into the Star wars comics after the first 3 (or was it 6?) issues that chronicled the film. His response was; "Who the heck is the green rabbit? He wasn't in the movie..."

I still love those comics.

I've been really trying NOT to buy Star Wars stuff anymore and concentrate on vintage Superhero, but the fact that they released Lumiya earlier this year has been really really tempting.

The reason why Jaxxon gets no love is probably because George Lucas hates him. Roy Thomas said in an interview Lucas contacted Marvel after seeing Jaxxon in the comic and asked what the hell were they thinking? The story involving Jaxxon was wound up and Roy Thomas left the book shortly after that.

and at the same time (or shortly thereafter) tmnt and a cornucopia of anthropomorphic fuzzy beasts were making coin like they had a mint in their backyard. That's lucas for you. Always ahead of the curve.

Always thought it interesting how the Lahsbees in the Marvel series sort of acted as a precursor to the Ewoks!

The Lumiya figure is very nice. I especially like that she has made her way from the comics in to the novels. She was recently the Master to the offspring of a major character who turned to the Darkside.

Great thread...but what about Beeto in carbonite? If I remember correctly, between ESB and ROTJ Marvel had Luke & Lando tracking down boba fett to get Han back...but by accident they recovered Beeto instead, whom fett also had frozen in carb.
