Alternative Covers for Star Wars, Empire, and Jedi...

I hope this is in the right section...not really a question about sci-fi...but more of a question about where I might be able to find the artwork for the Japanese Covers of Star Wars...or who drew the art for these covers. Here's an Ebay auction for the Japanese Box that came out a long time ago...but I am really digging the alternate covers that are on those Laserdiscs. Anyone know where I could find a link to the original art or maybe who drew the original art to the Japanese Covers:

Thanks for any help on these covers.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them
    Isn't it a pity".

I can tell you that the special that comes with this set, From Star Wars to Jedi, was aired on PBS as part of a pledge drive around `83-84. I remember watching it. Perhaps this whole set is the same as what they were offering from PBS in the USA at the time? That's one way to track it down.

I have seen these designs as foil mini posters (8 x 10)...suncoast video carried them a few years back. Let me do some digging, and I'll come back to you. I have seen them multiple places before!

Those same covers were used for one of the VHS re-releases of the trilogy in the UK.

The artist's name is John Alvin.

They were also included as prints as part of the Executor VHS box set:
