Cut scene from RotJ from RebelScum

Apparently this will be included on the BluRay release. Kind of neat - I liked the shot of Luke working on his green lightsaber.

I hope that there are more of these scenes for the release. I had the SW storybook and it had a page devoted (with pics) of Luke talking to Biggs before Biggs left to join the rebellion.

And they had better have some of these on the Indiana Jones blueray releases as well!

It works really nice but I'm assuming they cut it because it took the suspense out of Luke's first appearance.

I just want to see Harrison Ford, roasting a dead Ewok after the destruction of the Death Star.
"Ya want me to supersize that, Chewie?"

Seriously. Is this the way they're going to try and force me to buy a Blu Ray?
Somebody bootleg me a copy, ok? I do not need another SW disc on my shelf.....

Agreed, I love seeing these extra scenes, I have several ESB scenes cut from the movie, but to buy the movies all over again....

Awesome! I've waited years to see that. The last shot with R2 looks just like the original storyboard for that scene, too. Fantastic!

(The 1997 Behind The Magic CD-ROM is a good source for deleted scenes from A New Hope, including the Biggs & Luke scenes and the alternate cantina cut.
Of course they've all been uploaded on to YouTube now.)

They aired that during the Jon Stewart interview with George Lucas yesterday at Celebration. The whole con was going apecrazy. They played it right after Mark Hamil came on stage to talk about the Blu Ray "lost scenes."

That scene is the first time we're supposed to see Luke in Jedi.

Of course Carrie Fisher came onto the stage as well, and she made an fool of herself. So much so, they canceled her panel today and cited "Personal reasons" for her leaving early.

Ya, personal, like Lucas was not happy with her mentioning Jabba porn scenes and nude scenes in front on little kids in the audience! Oh ya, and that she would be running a sex booth on the con floor. Exactly what parents WANT their little kids hearing from princess leia!

I knew that the blue ray would be marketed with the deleted scenes when they released the original editons on dvd the last time

my prediction is that lucas holds back a scene or 2 for a 2nd blue ray in a couple for the Jedi anniversary or a "EXPANDED Director cut" box set with alternate audio to restore the original Fett voice.

FU George not buying them again

are the scenes inserted back in the movie or as a separet deleted scenes category? there better be more than that 1 scene if they expect people to buy it

As far as I know, they won't be integrating them into the movie, they'll just be in a separate deleted scenes section.

I'm also hoping they'll include the sandstorm scene from ROTJ.

Have that on DVD and it's a great project. Certainly a labour of love and very well done. Lots of cool stuff on the disc.

There's also a similar project by Jambe Davdar, who is doing fully annotated versions of the three movies with as much vintage BTS stuff as he can find, including alternate takes, etc. They're called "Star Wars Begins", "Building Empire" and "Returning to Jedi".

Part 1 of Building Empire can be found here:
