So someone has finally done it. They've invented a holodeck to install in people's homes and they're trying to market it door to door. You have 24 hours to use this thing, but since it's a demonstration model, its memory only has room for ONE program. What program would you run, and why?

Great topic Sharry. I think I would have to go with special memories of my child hood. Those would include growing up in Europe and Texas. My Dad was in the military so we moved around alot. I had a bunch of fun.

You could recreate epic battles from history and be a part of them! Everything from Thermopylae to Hastings to Waterloo, to Gettysberg, to the Normandy landings... that would be so cool!

Writing is one of my many hobbies, and I write down my fantasies about Shaun Cassidy.
Nothing really erotic, but pretty much a story that plays out from beginning to end. My favorite one goes for 24 chapters, so I think that's the one I'd want to program in.

Well.... I'd like to take part in a mammoth hunt followed by feasting and revelry in cave man times. Korg 70,000 bc was not a very good TV show but it seems to have had a lasting effect on me!Comment

I think for most people the rundown would be something like this:
First most common use: masturbatory aid
Second most common use: beating up your boss
Third most common use: MMORPGs, like World of Warcraft and whatnot
On a more constructive note, imagine how useful something like this would be in a therapy setting, dealing with phobias and anxieties.Comment
