    Lost Prop Auction

    In a couple of weeks!

    http://http://www.profilesinhistory....e-auction.html

Anyone considering going after anything here? I have to take a look at the money situation but might place a bid on one or two items. It will be something that is iconic of the series but I suspect most of the items will shoot through the roof.

Does anyone really think that Eko's staff is really going to sell between $1,000-$1,500? Seriously, if I'd buy it outright for $1,500 right now without batting an eye but suspect it is going to go closer to $10,000 and I might even be conservative there.

Personally, I might go after one of the Dharma initiative jump suits or Pierre Chang's lab coat. I seriously have no idea what they will ultimately sell for (probably in the thousands for a major character) but maybe go after one of the jumpsuits of a very minor character.

    Anyone else?

smartest thing the prop house can do is sell now while the fervor for the show is high. I'm sure someone will buy it high and have to sell low in 10 years

I think you could probably pick up a forgettable outfit cheap but anything that is memorable is going to go for big bucks. I have been seriously considering bidding on some of the props like the 32 cans of Dharma Beer or the multiple Virgin Mary's in the thought of selling them piece by piece and keeping one for myself. I might bid on one item and just go for it but when I see all the great stuff up for auction....it's tough to single out one item knowing that there are probably a bunch of other bidders who will also be going after it.

I'm surprised cast memebers didn't already run off with a lot of this stuff over the years....

I believe the money is all being donated to charities. I guess they could bid on the items if they want but I think the props were kept with this in mind.
