Nice! A remake of Alien Nation. Love that movie and series.
Parts of the movie were filmed 2 blocks from where I grew up in Hollyweird. So cool hearing the car crashes, explosions and yelling. All at night.
The alien graffiti is still there if you know where to look. I was just down there early this year and spotted it. I sure do miss Hollyweird sometimes.

So..yeah..any news on this?

didnt even know about Alien Nation. I believe the Apes film is in Pre-production and casting is done probably starts filming in the fall will shoot in Vancouver BC doubling as San Francisco

20th Century Fox announced on Twitter that Andy Serkis is reteaming with the Weta Digital team ("The Lord Of The Rings" trilogy, "King Kong") for "Rise Of The Apes"! He'll do the performance capture for Caesar, portraying the chimp who leads the simian revolt. Set in present day San Francisco, "Rise Of The Apes" is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy. For the first time ever in the film series, the movie will feature photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors.
