Official News: Six Million Dollar Man Dvd News Announced!!

A week ago, I reported the news about the Bionic Woman's season one DVD news. It is my pleasure to announce that at long, long last, Universal and Time Life have made their first press release announcement about the Six Million Dollar Man DVD sets. From what I've read, Time Life will offer the Six Million Dollar Man as a complete series on DVD. It will be a 40 disc set containing sound effects, lenticular graphics, all 100 something episodes from all five seasons, and more than 15 hours of hours of bonuses, including the three SMDM pilot movies (which I'm hoping will be the original uncut 90 minute formats and not the re edited syndicated versions), the three Bionic reunion movies, the Bionic Woman crossover episodes, "and much more." They also said this would include never before seen bonus programming with all new cast and crew interviews, featurettes, and documentaries featuring among others, Lee Majors and Richard Anderson and much more.
Initially, this will be available in November on a specially branded site. The only things not yet revealed are price and box art. As for the Bionic Woman, they have revealed today that her season one DVD set will also include a gag reel, an interview with Lindsay Wagner called Bionic Beginnings, and audio commentaries by Kenneth Johnson, director Alan J. Levi, and writer James D. Parriot, and all three of these guys were involved with the Incredible Hulk TV series as well. There's also supposed to be a photo gallery. And before I forget, the BW DVD set will also contain a few SMDM episodes, the ones that cover her origins, The Bionic Woman parts 1 &2, Return of the Bionic Woman parts 1&2, and Welcome Home Jamie Part 1.

But that is the news regarding the official announcements about the
Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman DVD releases.

Check out the news at TVShowsOnDVD.com.

    Cheers.

My theory is that when they said it will "initially" be available through Time Life as a complete set, I am assuming they may release the series by seasons in retail later on. But that is only a guess. I'm assuming they are doing it this way first is because so many people have wanted this series for so long, that the demand is high. But like I said, this is only a wild guess, so I'm saving up now, so I will have plenty to buy it with. One thing's for certain, I am definitely buying this complete set.
          Cheers.

If they do it like they do Get Smart, it will eventually be released in stores season by season but it will lack a lot of the extras that are on the time life set
