    1994's The Puppet Masters

Caught a bit of this on cable this morning. I saw it in the theater when it came out, and as I recall, it wasn't great but also wasn't awful. Think about it: a 1951 book made into a SF actioner 40 years later, in the age of Star Wars and Alien.

It could have been better, sure, but it wasn't a total failure.

I wouldn't mind seeing someone with vision and talent attempt a remake, or new adaptation of the novel.

    Thoughts?

The story is not up to date with modern Sci-Fi. There have also been too many similar Invasion of Body-snatchers themed re-makes in recent years. Heinlien had other, better stories they could adapt.

The movie was filmed in Fresno and Selma California. Its the two neighboring cities next to me. I kind of liked the movie but more so only watched it cause it was filmed in my neighborhood.
