The Movie Mighta been just a Bit better,...
If the "Disgraced" Predator ( as you put it) Wouldn't have died, ... and instead actually took out the other Predator with Brody, and the Chick, then boarded the Ship together at the end ..., leaving the Movie for a Possible Space Adventure & possible unlikely Team-up , if the Series was re-visited.

Tell you the truth thats what I thought when I first saw it. Nothing that creepy could be on earth... hey thats clue #1 guys... Till we see all those planets or moons in the sky..

Lucky that one disgraced predator was part of the plan to get home. Even if they had the time and could learn to fly a alien ship where the heck are you? Where is earth from there?

I only Caught that Doc was something More than he seemed, When he Let the Big Guy Die by Himself ...., then put the icing on cake when he whipped out the Pic of the Kids.


Perhaps the Nutrotoxin is similar to that of What a Venus Fly Trap Contains, to paralize it's prey. ... To be honest,... when I 1st saw the Plant, that's what I thought it was, and thought it was gonna Snap at someone.

Easier to say He was carrying his own small drug kit. A small bag that had oh say a vial of epinaphrine or antibiotics and a few special vials. He would need this on him anyway if the earth authorities ever caught him while he was out murdering. Something to throw them off his trail.

Hey I'm a doctor I alway carry a emergency kit on me wink wink. Makes more sense.

I was thinking something like this, with less professional words ofcourse.

True I thought the same thing BUT.... Say for example all plant that have a milky sap on earth are poisonous maybe that is true on other planets.

But the Doc KNOWS this is a nurotoxin that will paryalize. It supposed to set up the scene he attackes the sniper and thus the big reveal twist.

Thing is unless he knows exactly what type of plant this is and not maybe, how would he know the sniper wouldn't just drop dead on the spot?

Botany (the study of plants) is a science,and if studied specifically by a person they would be in the know,that common traits amongst plant life thriving within the same atmospheric conditions would be logical. He most likely saw similar traits within similar species and simply deduced the characteristics.

1. How is it the "Doc" can identify the plant early on? Did the Predator do some gardening? Did they bring a bunch of pretty plants from earth? Most of the soldiers here identify the fact they dont recognize the jungle they are in, and they have been just about every where.

2. How long is a season on this planet? Seems to our Air cav guy its pretty long. He's been there for 10 of them and he's talking to himself. Yet and the end of the movie the Preds are already chuting in fresh meat?

There may have been multiple drops per "season" as the predators, and other species were clearly dropped before the humans, what's to say the falling parachutes were not supplies, or just the next drop in the sequence?

Whatever the case, that point wasn't explained adequately in the movie.

No It wasn't ....
Perhaps it resembles something here on Earth ?
Or perhaps how it somewhat looked it could have been compaired to something ....., I really Don't know Squat about Plants.

Yeah, I wondered that, too.

Maybe he's a part time xeno-botanist?

(Or maybe the development of plants on worlds with common Earth-type environmental conditions follows a similar enough evolutionary template that he was able to recognize it as being posionous?)

Great movie I only had 2 nit picks I could find and that is great for a summer movie.

Sure it works just as well if the serial killer Doc carried his own drugs. They picked him up while he was "hunting" then he would have them on him

Other then that everything worked for me. Nice to have an action movie where everyone is calm cool and knows what the hell they are doing. These are supposed to be trained killers after all.

I saw it yesterday and it was really good. It's much better than the 2nd movie imo.

I have to say I saw this thursday and i sat there and enjoyed it all, though I wasn't a huge fan of the first one I prefered the way they took the predators in the second movie, but I still sat there engroseed
