Piper is actually dying of cancer now.

Just curious...Why did Carpenter pick Piper for the role? Wrestlers back then usually didnīt get good roles at all.

I always thought They Live was supposed to be funny. It's billed as an action/comedy in most of the media I've seen related to it.
Something else I've noticed people mentioning is Piper's accent. The last time I watched the movie I really noticed it. Is that what Canadians sound like?

Saw this in the theatre as well.
Awesome movie Piper in top form.
Most Iconic line in a movie ever; "I came here to chew bubblegum and kick@zz and I'm all outta bubblegum."
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

great movie, saw it opening weekend, maybe even opening night.

have not seen it in years, I did not even know it was available on DVD. will have to go get it now.

Sad to hear a bout Piper dying, I did not know about that. he was just on the local radio staion here promoting the new wrestling bit he does. even brought back the Pipers Pit.

I think he's really sick -- maybe dying in real life.

Piper had hodgkins disease in 2008 (a very treatable form of cancer same one that mario Lemiuex of the pengiuns had) last I knew it was in remission

Hector, Hector, Hector.... It was *intentionally* the funniest fight scene in history, largely *because* it was waaaaaaaay too long.

One of the funniest and most absurd ways to end a movie ever!

                              "Hey! What's wrong Baby?"
