    Survivors BBC

Is anybody else into this? It's got to be one of the best shows I've seen in a long time.

How the US hasn't remade this show is beyond me.

For those not in the know, it's based on a novel by Terry Nation (Daleks, Blake's 7) and it deals with the world after 99% of it is wiped out. It follows a group of people who band together in the new world. Gripping stuff.

      Never seen it.

      Sounds interesting

      Like The Stand ?

BTW, is that Martha Jones ?

If so, isn't there any BBC show she doesn't play in ?

It predates the Stand as it was a series in the 70s and no, there is no supernatural element to it.

That is Freema Agyeman although (spoiler alert) she isn't a series regular, it's weird she's in that promo piece.

Thanks for the heads up I'm always looking for episodic shows to watch at work (20-45mins) That's when I make my rounds.
I'll check it out is it in first season still?

I got into it last year because someone on this board recommended it. It's fantastic and thematically contemporary. I can't wait for the next series to come out (have they announced it yet?).

I'm actually quite curious about watching the original, but part of me would find a US network remake unnecessary, particularly after seeing how they handled Life on Mars (not that it wasn't well crafted in and of itself, but it couldn't touch the original BBC incarnation).

My friend Todd told me about it and I've watched them all. Compelling stuff; what stinks is there's a great cliffhanger after series 2 and I don't think 3 has even been announced or started yet, so I'm dying to find out what happened or if it just ends there.

P.S. At the risk of being sexist, Julie Graham is totally freaking hot.

Wow short season at 6 episodes per.I also read the wiki entry that said it was cancelled due to low ratings so no 3rd season...

                              Thanks for the info, Steve

Only prob is I don't get BBC America anymore.

Had to downgrade my cable because the cost was going through the roof.
