While previous series were based on location in Cardiff, Wales, this new installment will see storylines widen to include locations in the U.S. and around the world.

    Man, I can't wait

Not being thrilled with the new Who, it makes me look up to Torchwood even more.

Yeah, it makes more sense that they would travel the world hunting for aliens and whatnot in stead of aliens always showing up in Cardiff

I think the reason some of it is going to take place in the USA is because Starz Entertainment is partially flipping the bill (a US company)

Also BBC Worldwide is in on it --which I think they're in cahoots with Discovery Network (another US company)

I just hope they don't take all the "Britishness" out of it.
I'm guessing they wont because BBC still probably controls most of the content.
Also, it's no secret RTD is not a big US fan (which is ok in this case)

This is awesome news. I was really afraid they were going to let it wither. I still haven't embraced the new Who, and Torchwood gets me my fix.

Great news! If any new episodes are even half as good as "Children Of Earth" the return of the show will be awesome.
Like Palitoy I need to satisfy my Eve Myles fix.

On reflection Children of Earth wouldn't have been bad if it was just a 2-hour special.

It's the 5 hours that really killed it.

The story just didn't deserve 5 hours

Hope the new season never does anything like that again

....except that they have no authority outside of Britain. I wonder if that'll be a big part of the new season.

I thought it was funny how the author likes the show, even though he doesn't like the show. I wonder if that's 'cos it's different; which they consciously dislike, but unconsciously crave....

I'm guessing they might use UNIT to introduce Torchwood into different countries ... Example, UNIT brings in Torchwood as a scientific adviser --- In other words Torchwood will become Jon Pertwee

Most of the stuff will probably still happen Cardiff

They work outside of the government anyway
