Bionic Woman season 1 dvd out in Oct!

    Just read this...

The Bionic Woman Coming to DVD

First season hitting stores in October
Entertainment Weekly has learned that Universal will release the first season of "The Bionic Woman" on DVD in October.

"The Bionic Woman," which starred Lindsay Wagner, Richard Anderson and Martin E. Brooks, was a spin-off of "The Six Million Dollar Man," which is also coming to DVD soon. Creator Kenneth Johnson announced on his website that he will be recording commentary for both of his "Ghosthunter" and "Doomsday is Tomorrow" episodes

In the series, Wagner played Jaime Sommers, a tennis professional who was nearly killed in a skydiving accident, and was rebuilt by Oscar Goldman (Anderson) and Dr. Rudy Wells (Brooks), who had also rebuilt The Six Million Dollar Man. As the result of her surgical implantation, Jaime Sommers had amplified hearing, a greatly strengthened right arm, and enhanced legs, enabling her to run faster than a speeding car.

The series ran on ABC for two seasons, from 1976 to 1977, and then it was picked-up for one season on NBC

Good news but I'd be more apt to pick up SMDM instead of BW

I actually want to pick up both series. Though I am more of a follower of the
Six Million Dollar Man series, after meeting Lindsay Wagner at the Motor City Comic Con several weekends ago (she's a nice, wonderful lady), I am now more interested in her show and intend to get both series. Plus the fact that the Bionic Woman was created and adapted by Kenneth Johnson, who also adapted the Incredible Hulk for TV, my top favorite series.
As far as SMDM goes, am I alone in that I hope the 3 pre series pilot movies will be released in their original 90 minute movie formats as opposed to the 2 part syndication re edits? I have actually seen the pilot (Cyborg) and Wine, Women, and War in their original formats, but I have yet to see the original version of Solid Gold Kidnapping.
Anyway, I look forward to the release of both series.
      Cheers.

I wonder how they'll tackle the Bionic Bigfoot episodes? Those were multi-part that ran between both series.

If I was Universal, i'd put the full complete Bigfoot and Kill Oscar episodes on BOTH releases.

This way the fans are happy --- and I can sneak in an extra disc in the sets to justify raising the price a bit as an "added bonus"
