    The Dæmons (Dr Who)

Was just watching the The Dæmons last night and I never noticed how much this story can stand on its own -- Meaning it could have been a movie.

I do have one question ......
The name Dæmons is pronounced 2 ways in the series ......

    The Damons
    and
    The Demons

which is the proper pronunciation ?
I've always thought it was Damons because they come from Damos.

    What do you think ?

    I've always pronounced it "Daymons".

I figured that's what the "a" was for in the name.

If they didn't want me to use the "a" and pronounce it, then why include it in the name? Just leave the "a" out and I'll pronounce it "Demons" like it's spelled.

But since they got all fancy and included the "a"...

    ...I call it Damons.

      It's pronounced demons.

The spelling is as it would have been in the dark and middle ages.

        Hmmmm....

We've always pronounced it "Daemons" around here. And I think they'd be great to bring back. The Dr Who Weekly comic did some good stuff with them back in the day.
