Not a bad episode. I liked the explanation they gave to vampires not reflecting in mirrors. Good thinking....
The one thing that bothered me: the idiot boyfriend, that seems to accept time and space travel in about two seconds flat.
And also: wouldn't people from Venice in the 1600s find Amy's mini-skirt attire rather "unsual"?
Nobody seemed to notice. Do the Doctor and his companions have a "cloaking field" of some sorts?

I loved it at the beginning when the Doctor popped out of the cake and told Rory that Amy was a good kisser.
Rory had already been involved in the Prisoner Zero incident and Amy had talked about the Doctor for years so i didn't think it was odd that he'd have no problem accepting things.
Regarding the nod to the first Doctor, on the card it says his name is Dr J. Smith but Jamie made that up in the Wheel in Space.
If anything it should be Foreman, the same as Susan used and what was the name of the scrap yard where they lived.
He also nodded to the 3rd Doctor, when he saw it was the wrong card he made a big nose gesture saying he had it.
