New Dr. Who: now they've done it!

I saw it coming a mile away.
I hoped they wouldn't go there.
    They went there anyway, bigtime.

Honestly: I found the last five minutes of the latest episode rather offensive.
As if you'd see new episodes of the Muppet Show, and they show Fozzie Bear taking Kermit up the ***.
    Yep, that's how I felt.

    Thanks for listening.....

    Are you amish?

Woman is sexually attracted to (weirdly) handsome man with a time machine, oh my God, how will I ever survive the indignity?

I still only seen the first episode so far ... but I read a fan-spoiler that sounds kind of interesting.

      It said .....
The crack in the universe that keeps appearing is OUR universe trying to break through ... It said everything we've seen since the Eleventh Hour has taken place in an alternate universe caused by the TARDIS almost destruction

Not sure if that's true (probably not) but it would make a nice interesting switch.

I don't think that's the case Mike, although it does appear that the RTD years have been erased.

I thought it was funny seeing the Doctor squirm.

She just wanted a quick bunk up before she got married, at least she's not in love with him.

Probably not in "love" with her fiance. I hope she doesn't get married.

I just watched a clip of that scene on youtube.

To me, it reminded me more of Classic Who rather than the RTD era.

If that was David Tennant he would have kissed her back

Yes. Please respect my religious beliefs.

I don't need every series I watch to be Sex and the City.
It's not that I don't like sex, I enjoy it very much, but I'm fed up with this "sexual tension" between Doctors and Companions.
Except for the sublime Donna Noble, all other companions went gaga-eyed for the Doc. Sure, in this case it's more lust, but I wish they'd just focus on the story, and not on pleasing the Twilight crowd.
I think it's just boring, and I don't need to see the sex life of the Doctor graphically explored.
I also watched Star Trek for the aliens and spaceships, not for Captain Kirk's love life.

Sex is a part of life, it stands to reason there would be sexual tension between a young companion and a young looking Doctor. I personally am not offended or bothered by adding that wrinkle. It's not all encompassing and they still kind of play of the Doctor as disinterested, so I don't see any reason to get bothered by it. I find the stories have improved dramatically, the "deus ex machina" factor of the RTD era is down by 50%.

Looks like a bit of a reprise of the Mickey/Rose/Doctor triangle with Amy's fiance becoming a companion.

Don't click on this link if you don't want to see Doctor and his companion doing the naughty.

Someone just pointed out an Easter Egg to me.

In the forest, as The Doctor leaves with the Bishop and River, he's missing the jacket that the angels grabbed from him. A moment later when he's talking to Amy... he's wearing his jacket and talking about the crack in the wall and how important it is that she remembers what he told her when she was seven... then kisses her tenderly on the forehead. When we next see him wandering through the forest with River and the Bishop, he's again missing his jacket.

A sighting of a Doctor from a Future episode!
