    Plan 9 From Outer Space

I've always heard about this movie being the "worst movie ever made", but I'd never seen it until tonight on YouTube. I really didn't think it was that bad. I've seen worse. But I love the hokiness of B pictures, and found this one entertaining.

Have any of you seen it? What did you think?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Now the characters from this flick would make some nice retro figures!

Have the original on tape and the DVD updated version "Ed Woods" with Johnny Depp! This last one explains everything that happened during the filming, other (failure) movies before this one, the live promos, the flimsy scenery, cardboard tombstones, the commentator of the movie being gay (no offense),...very interesting and has its funny and serious parts too!

I aways thought Robot Monster was way worse than Plan 9

It's just one of those classic it's so bad it's good movies.

"Greetings, my friend. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future. "

            So gloriously terrible.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I bought an Ed Wood box years ago with a biography of his life, Plan 9 From Outer Space on dvd and a poster. Love the movie, a true classic indeed

Love the Ed Wood stuff, Plan 9 was definitely his Citizen Kane.

HAW! It's incerdibly entertaining; but it's one of them things that gets worse each time you watch, 'cos you notice more silliness. (Next time you watch, pay attention to the detective's amazing gun safety. He points with it, he waves it around.... at one point he uses the barrel to scratch his head....)

But I DO enjoy it. A lot.

It's "worst movie ever made" tagline is pure hype, it's a poorly made piece of junk but it's soooooo much fun to watch. It's incompetant on every level and that makes it brilliant.

Honestly I've seen worse nowdays, at least Ed had the excuse of no budget. Sit down with anything from Steven Segal's straight to dvd collection.

Yeah they only had a bit of Lugosi's performance in the can before he died....the majority of the Lugosi character seen is actually a stand-in....and I believe the guy was really Ed Wood's chiropractor!
