Is anybody following this show?? It reminds a lot of the action 70's shows. Also, Lee Majors was the guest star last night.

Nope, the only Human Target I like is this one:

...and from what I've been told, the 90s version is closer to the comic book story than the new version."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true." -
Man that is my favorite show!!! It reminds me of like the A-Team meets Mission Impossible. I have taped them all and I wish they made megos of Christopher Chance, Winston, and Guererro!Comment

I love the show. Its been scoring very high ratings, and was renewed for next season...the Lee Majors episode was the cliffhanger to end season 1. I dont want to spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen it yet...I'll just say I hope they figure a way of bringing Lee back again, he was in this one too briefly for my liking!!
As for accuracy to the comic, neither series really is dead on to the comic, but the new show is way closer in feel I think, and worlds better than the other series."Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

I liked last week's episode where we finally went back and saw how The Team was formed.
Hopefully they can keep an interesting extended arc without stringing things along too much. As much as I enjoyed Burn Notice, it's kind of starting to lose it's "Teeth" in the third season because they never really give you anything with the larger storyline moving like molasses.
Fringe is an example of a show that manages to keep single episode stories interesting in the wake of the larger overall storyline, while keeping things moving at a pace where it feels like things are actually happening in that larger storyline.
I'm suspecting there could be a really cool anthology style cable series based around the Vertigo Human Target series, but I understand why they would create this version around the actor they hired rather than have their main character "in disguise" every episode played by another actor.Last edited by samurainoir; Apr 16, '10, 12:20 AM.Comment

It's been pretty good so far...The main character is likeable (in that '70s TV way that was mentioned), and the others are quirky enough to interest me.
And for some reason, the series NOT being completely true to the comic DOESN'T bother me at all. The idea of a different face evey week might sound interesting, but I think it wouldn't play too well.
I'm a few episodes behind on DVR- better try & get caught up this weekend.Comment
