Really ended up liking this one, especially the way Smith is handling the Doctor. He's not as manic as Tennent but still has his highs and lows.
The story is basically a way of justifying Amy and it works well, the whole concept is still pretty uniquely "doctor who", I doubt you'd get this kind of tale anywhere else.
One of the cooler things about this is that it links to Tom Baker's second story "The Ark in Space" with the people of England fleeing after the solar flares.
Funny how continuity freaks got upset over Eccleston's second story changing the date of the end of the world so Moffat tied this one into the original series continuity. It still won't please the haters but it worked for me.
