Breaking News: Bionic Drought Is Over!! Dvds Of The Series Are Being Planned!!

TVShowsOnDVD.com has reported that the rights to Cyborg are finally being worked on and Universal is going to begin work to get both the Six Million Dollar Man and the original Bionic Woman series to DVD. At the longest, it may not be until next year that they come out. In terms of complete series, season sets, or best of, that is "to be decided". The site already had news of this but did not want to post the news on April 1st since yesterday was April Fool's Day. Both Bionic shows are reported to be the 4th and 6th most requested shows for DVD release.
And they will plan to remaster everything! We're talking all episodes from both series, including crossovers and the three reunion movies. Also, there is news on Kenneth Johnsons's website that for extra features, he is scheduled to do interviews and commentaries. The site mentioned the names of one or two Bionic Woman episodes he will do a commentary on. Also, cast and crew members will be interviewed. This news came from Kenny's website!!

I am all fired excited about this!!! The Bionic DVD drought is finally over!!! Both shows will eventually hit DVD here in the US!! It may be a year or a few months, but that will give me enough time to save, save, save!!!

You can check out the story for yourself on TVShowsOnDVD.com!!!

    Bionic Cheers.

If this happens it will be monumental!!!
I'll be in line for sure but I hope they don't do the best of route and then release sets of complete seasons later on.Just come out with the seasons already they are guaranteed to sell. When they do best ofs it is for feeling out the marketability/interest of a product it is obvious that the interest for these shows is there.Just release them!!!

If I know Universal correctly (and I think I do) here's how they'll be released.

        Season-1 ... released on double sided DVD's ... $39.99-$49.99 ... and so on.

From the time season-1 is released it should take about 2-1/2 years for the whole series to be out.

Where is this list of most requested dvds? I've never seen that at the site. Is that just going on in the guy's head?

Yeah, I know. Seeing is believing and I usually go by that motto. But this news was too good not to mention. And other than TV SHows on DVD, the fact that
Kenneth Johnson's website confirms this is also good and solid. I know that he is to record a commentary for the Bionic Woman episode, Doomsday is Tomorrow and one other one. So we have 2 good sources. While this is not official release news. It is a heads up that these shows are FINALLY in the works. So at least, it means to save up and get ready. But yet at the same time, Seeing is believing. I'll believe it mostly when I see the release news and pics of the box art.
                  Cheers.

I bet with Universal the price is between $79.99 to $99.99. That was the original price for the classic Galactica and the Buck Rogers sets and I expect these to be more popular.
                    It's all good!

                          Mikey,

Universal hasn't done double sided DVD's in a while. Too many complaints.
