    Gerry Anderson's U.F.O to be remade as Film Trilogy

    Hey folks, has anyone heard about htis? I stumbled accross this article about it from January 2009. It seems they have been in talks with Ali Larter of Hero's to play Wanda Ventham's role from the TV series.

    UFO - Heroes Ali Larter In Talks For Sci-Fi Trilogy Remake - Sci-Fi Entertainment News

    Excerpt:

    "The remake has director Matthew Gratzner behind the helm with a budget of $130 million to bring the classic television show to life in what is now being reported to be a trilogy of films.

    "There are three movies planned. The first script is completed, and number two and number three are treatments..."

      You know, as much as I am a fan of Gerry Anderson's collective works, I can't see myself lining up to see a remake of You-Fo.

      Still, I bet they'll do a great take on the Moon Base Babes...

        As long as they remain faithful to the look and feel of the original, it should be cool. Still have reservations about the Thunderbirds live action movie, they really dropped the ball on that one.

          UFO may be my favourite of all of Anderson's shows, I've heard this has been switched back to a series. I'm cautiously optomistic the funk won't get left behind.

            As long as we see Will Smith as Straker, in a white wig, I'm in!

              It'll be interesting to see how they go about updating the premise. I just hope they don't stray too far from the classic Interceptor design.

              I'd still like to see a decent remake of Thunderbirds, I've heard Gerry Anderson is trying to get a new series off the ground. I'm sure it would do a good job of helping me forget the awful movie from a few years back.

                Just found this;

                Breaking News

                It looks like they'll be keeping the basic Interceptor design which is cool, and possibly having Gerry onboard will help with the look and feel of the show.
