I think this might be the breakdown for the upcoming spotlight characters:

Feb. 23: Claire *
Mar. 2: Sayid *
Mar. 9: Ben
Mar. 16: Sawyer
Mar. 23: Richard
Mar. 30: Sun & Jin
Apr. 6: ???
Apr. 13: Hurley

* These are guesses on my part based on who is featured in the plot synopsis

I wonder if Richard's episode will be a flashback or if it will be a sideways? If he was on island in '77 when Jughead exploded, then he shouldn't have a sideways.

I'm surprised how much I am enjoying it. All the glimpses of their other lives and teh subtle differences are interesting to me. They promise it will tie together really well.

I wonder if part of the purpose of the sideways universe is to show that paths will cross and certain situations happen (such as Locke's spinal injury and Hurley winning the lottery) regardless of whether Jacob or whoever interferred or not....

Part of the whole science vs. faith debate.....

So far I am not liking the "alternate reality", ala Fringe.

But I will let it play out.

I'm just trying to figure out if it actually has anything to do with the plot of the show or if it's just "filler" stuff and means nothing come the end of the show.

Also the "pop-up" episodes are a treasure-trove of trivia and information.
I rewatch all those as well.
