I love how that scene on the boat was like the mirror image of Jack and Sawyer on the chopper, when Sawyer sacrificed himself and jumped in the ocean.

I'm hoping that Claire is starting to come around to "our" side again....she just freakin' creeps me out.

And how cool is Sideways Desmond! He's basically becoming the Sideways Jacob manipulating things to come together.

This finale is gonna be HUGE! I hope it doesn't disappoint...I'm still gun-shy from the stupid Seinfeld finale.

A heads up....NO NEW EPISODE this week....It's a repeat of the Richard Alpert origin....All new episodes return on May 4th!

And the Series Finale is on a SUNDAY, May 23rd!

Gosh Darnit! What a time to take a break.

I do like the fact that it finally will come down to Jack facing down Locke (by proxy) as they always hinted at in the first couple of seasons.

Yes, it's especially compelling because Jack is having to take on some of Locke's Man of Faith role in the end. I'm a Jack fan, he's gotta be the hero in the end, but I have no ideqa what that will mean!

I have a feeling that Jack will be the one to replace Jacob on the island. he will then be locked in constant "combat" against Not-Locke the way Jacob apparently was

Maybe. Desmond's doing a pretty good Jacob impression, too.

We should be getting MAJOR info on the Jacob/MIB backstory very shortly.....and I'm wondering if we all may be siding with MIB after everything plays out. Jacob hasn't been the most forthcoming in regards to information....he plays it somewhat aloof and close to the vest. Whereas MIB is very honest and upfront when questioned (in some cases ), like when he told Jack he was indeed impersonating Christian Shepard.

I'm leading towards Jack as the replacement for Jacob, but start thinking that's too obvious and then wonder.

I think all the candidates should tell Jacob to f' off... Simply cus I think he's coming back anyway..how else to explain that aging kid that's dressed as an "Other" that seems to be following MIB/Locke around.

They were talking about that on one of the podcasts---Why would he need a replacement (candidates) if he can come back? I agree it looks like that kid is growing each time we see him, and it's logical to think he's Jacob, but...

^ I think the producers were still trying to figure out HOW to bring back Walt...Considering that the actor has grown considerably since he was last seen.
But it wouldn't be a series finale without "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalt!"
