    Rocket Robin Hood

Are there folks outside of Canada that are familiar with Rocket Robin Hood?

It was such a staple of my childhood and almost synonymous with the 60's Spiderman show in aesthetics that I just took it for granted that it was a uniquely Canadian thing that got aired endlessly during my childhood (like The Star Lost?).

You forgot Harrigan and Frightenstein. I was born and raised on Rocket Robin Hood, so was my wife, we constantly joke about Friar Tuck's eating habits, one bite, throw it away.

Any Toronto kids remember Moreland/Latchford short films every lunch hour? How about when City TV played the Green Hornet?

They never played Rocket Robin Hood here in the New York City Metro area back in the day.
I never even heard of the show until I came to Mego Museum.

On the other hand they did play Frightenstein on weekday late afternoons in the 70's in syndication.
The DJ Wolfman character was very popular in my school

I remember watching it on Channel 17(?) from Philadelphia in the late sixties.

HUGE RRH fan here. Like all Canadians who grew up in the seventies and eighties, you couldnt NOT see this show.

I do know it was/is popular in parts of Europe and South Africa.

My cousin and I ate this show up! We were big RH and sci fi/fantasy fans so it was a natural. I was RRH and he was Will Scarlett. We wanted toys! RRH has been on my custom "to do" list for years.

I grew up with both Rocket Robinhood and Spiderman back in the late 60's here in Louisville. Disappointed they have not released the boxset here in the states. I did hear they did NOT remaster the series like they did Spiderman, so I'm not in any big hurry to shell out $30 plus for sub-standard footage.

They didnt remaster it per se. They did clean up the images and the sound on most of the episodes. None of them are substandard....Some arent "high end", but they are very watcheable.
I think the neatest thing in the set was the "previously unseen" pilot episode. There were some interesting differences!

They can be obtained for around $20.00 up here at some retailers. I paid 21 bucks for my set. I think the highest I saw them at was 29.99.
