Im speechless!!! This is Japans Star Wars its about time they just took the bull by the horns and did it themselves without Hollywoods Interference .I cant wait. I love the retro look .I got more exited seeing this Trailer then when I first saw theTrailers for AVATAR!

          Hmmmm....

I dunno. I love the original show, but it was such a groundbreaking production, and has inspired so many later shows/movies/comics/etc that I can't help but feel it's gonna come across as old hat. I'd still prefer something, you know.... NEW!

On the up-side, the Japanese don't seem as hellbent as us on "reimagining" things, so it still has that weird early 70's cartoon look to it.

This'll do well in Japan by virtue of the fact that that SMAP dude is in it. He's like Japan's Justin Timberlake.

Oh man that looks good! If only Disney had not bought the rights to the American Star Blazers years ago maybe there would be a good American version by now too.

A trailer that does the job. No spoils but WOW the classic yamato and I like the leather look uniforms too. Classic theme classic looks and modern effects this is what BSG should have been

For a 32 second clip, that rocks. It pretty much get the point across without a bunch of mindless cut-scene crap and overly dramatic voice over. Really slick.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

When is this coming out?? That was F'n Incredible. I can't believe my Bro didn't know about this...

                              The Official Site is bare:

                              SPACE BATTLESHIP Yamato

Comes out December 1st, 2010, so I hope some more info comes out.

Here is another SMAP homage to old school Anime:

                              It's a Commercial---Aaarrrgh!!!

Personally, I can't stand them...but then again, I can't stand the majority of modern junk that come out of Japan.

Give me some good ol' Taiko Drums and Buddest Monk Chants and I'm there...anything else...you can have it.

30 seconds is not enough for me to go gaga over...yet...I've seen way too many BAD Japanese movies that LOOKED good...they make better TV Series then Movies...but they're into Korean Soaps now these days.
Everyone is Entitled to MY Opinion...Your's, not so much!
