    Yep, that was the problem.

I doubt it, it would be 12 months later and think what she was going to go through in those 12 months.
I can't remember people from last week.

I still feel cheated the Tennant-Smith regeneration was done exactly the same way as the Eccleston-Tennant regeneration.

During the classic series AND the TV movie every single regeneration was unique ... Some were better then others but there never was a standard... Even during the JNT era we got 3 different regenerations from the same producer.

This regen was such a let down --- It almost makes me wonder if the new producer is going to run the show as a RTD clone ie business as usual ...

Not really. He was hiding in the shadows. I agree with most here that the last half was better than the rest of the story. Especially with Sarah Jane. Just the look on her face like "oh no,not again." Now,was that Mickey with Martha? They got married? Didn't see that coming. First half of the story didn't care for. They took too much stuff and just threw it out the window for the sake of the story it seems.

Freema was credited as Martha Smith-Jones at the end. Marriage to mickey was not what I would have imagined for Martha, I expected her to maybe lead a revived Torchwood.
My understanding is the Woman was the Doctor's Mother. Why they chose not to reveal who the dissenting women Time Lords were is beyond me. My guess was that one was Romana, but perhaps the other was The Master's mother? I'm guessing maybe they might be back as weeping Angels in the new Series as those villains are shown returning in the Matt Smith preview.

I thought the woman was Donna somehow. Don't really know how. Just a thought.

It was what it was. All in all.

              9th Doctor went out better.

The stuff with Wilf was great though.

I agree with most it was better in the last half hour,i did think when i saw the Timelords, that they maybe coming back to help the Dr fight the Masters (there were alot of them) lol,oh well that wasn't the case. The bit with Wilf and the Dr was good,i felt for the Doc.

I reckon the women were the mothers of the Dr and the Master.

                  Hmmmm....

I kinda liked it. Not one of the best episodes, but still entertaining. As to the points brought up:

                  >Who was she? Susan?

I wondered that too. Maybe his mom, or wife? (He’s been married TWICE now.)

                  >the Tenannt Doctor is the only Doctor that desperately don't want to regenerate.

                  #2 didn’t either.

                  >Rasselon has been dead for ages before the time war

I wondered that too, although when you can travel through time there’s no such thing as “dead.” I haven’t heard any of the Time War stories so I don’t know if there’s anything mentioned there.

                  >They throw a diamond to Earth, and use that as a beacon.

Nah; the Master was the beacon, and the idea was that the sound driving him insane was put there by the Time Lords. The idea being he’d seek out the source. The diamond was just the clue that told him what the source was, at the time they felt safe to return.

                  >Why would they even come to Earth to do this?

That just happened to be where the Master would be when they sought to return.

Another odd bit: the old prophecess; did she remind anyone else of the witches from “The Brain Of Morbius?”

Btw, is this the fastest the Doctor has ever regenerated? The new Doctor was into action pretty quick

Actually, she reminded me more of Dalek Khan from Season Four. That's what this story reminded me more of than anything. It's like they took the Three and Four endings, smacked them together and said good enough.

Unfortunately, and hugely embarrassing, I'm so far behind on my Who watching that it's pitiful. And I used to call myself a huge fan to the tune of having a lot of the episodes of the Doctors through McCoy (including all of the Loose Cannon reconstructions--which I was busily transferring from VHS to DVD).

It's not even that I'm not a fan of the "reboot" as I have enjoyed all of the Eccleston and Tennant episodes I've watched. I just got behind and keep thinking of ways to spend my money instead of buying the series sets.

This is a situation that must be remedied!

You know, when I saw the Time Lords sitting at their table, I couldn't help being "less than impressed".
I kind of expected that when Dalton blasted the female Time Lord, he would grunt "you're fired!".
                          It felt pretty silly....

It reminded me of the scene on Austin Powers around the table where he "kills" Mustafah (Will Farrell) by dropping through the floor.

I liked it but didn't love it. Calling Dalton's character Rassilon was silly and didn't make much sense at all. But it was kind of fun to see the doc and the Master working together.

The woman was an interesting tease, but I certainly hope she's more Romana than Susan.
