I've started my outfit. My husband wanted to know why I was so sparkly (I was trying on the silver top I had just sewn together.) I had to remind him that I was working on my outfit for the convention in January...and that if I couldn't finish it in time, for him to be prepared to see Uhura again.

I know he prefers Uhura over Zira, even though he doesn't say anything.

Great costume! It covers basically everything and it makes me look slimmer. Wondering if I need to make the skirt shorter...?

Unbelievably, I can't find silver pantyhose...so I just splurged and bought some silver body paint and spray. Only bummer is it's already breezy enough with the notch cut out on the front of the skirt...

Yay! I found a pair of silver stockings. I found it listed under bridal hosiery. So appropriate!!!

I also tried covering my eyebrows with latex and then covering it with makeup, but I was not happy with the results...looks like I'm going to have to shave down my eyebrows for this one.

I also colored my latex Vulcan ears with foundation (they came in a pale pink color). I wore them over my ears (didn't glue them down) and asked my sister what she thought. She asked me, "about what?" I said my ears!! She didn't realize I had Vulcan ears!! I guess they don't stick out so much and are not really that noticeable. Gosh I'm so excited about dressing up.
