I recall watching it a couple times.
More notable for the accidental self-inflicted death of it's star.

        Hmmmm....

I remember it. When I was a kid I KINDA liked it, but found it a bit too edutainmental for my liking.

hexum was very cool and the kid was the big brother of punky brewster in real life

this might be the send attempt to convert Who to the american audience or maybe the 3rd (I consider Time Tunnel first)

I remember the series. Used to watch it all the time. One episode particularly stands out. It had Dan Pastarini (QB for the Houston Oilers) as a gladiator. I remember that b/c I thought, "geez, he is big". I had always though him small, but, guess that was b/c I was comparing him to other NFL players. But, compared to Hexum, he was a big guy.

As for Hexum, very sad. I remember he died tragically from playing Russian roullette with a starter's gun or something like that. Very sad. If I remember correctly, he had just made a movie called Bear, about Bear Bryant. I'll have to check imdb.com on that.

i remember watching it regularly and enjoying it. Hexums death was tragic and so preventable.

Great show. Too bad it was canned so soon. Hexum actually died after Voyagers...He was working on another series whose name I cant recall? He was a secret agent who used a modelling job as a cover. The guy from Manimal and Counterstrike replaced him after the accident.

I remember that show. Yeah, he wasn't in it too long. I think one of the models was the asst DA from Walker Texas Ranger. Can't think of her name right now. And, the female co-star of the show, who I believe was the head of the models, was Jennifer XXXXXX, ugh, I am going blank on everyone's names right now. It'll hit me as soon as I hit 'submit'.

It was an OK show. Kinda more family friendly. The kid being a history geek and saving the day every episode was annoying. Something Wesley Crusher should have learned from. John Eric Hexum died from firing a real gun loaded with blanks at his own head on set. He was playing arround at the time. Though there is no projectile. The force of expelling gases from the blank round was enough to be fatal.
